Founded in 2000 by chief medical officer Marisa C. Weiss, MD, it empowers people with research, expert information, and a dynamic peer support community to help them make the best decisions for their lives. Since its inception, the nonprofit organization has reached 250 million people worldwide.

Will people who donate to my Facebook fundraiser receive a tax receipt?
Yes, people who donate to your Facebook fundraiser will receive a tax receipt from PayPal Giving Fund. Please contact PayPal Giving Fund about missing or lost receipts.

I want to host an event benefiting Breastcancer.org. How do I get started?
Reflect on your personal passions and audience when choosing the type of event. Creating a GoFundMe Pro or Facebook fundraising page makes it easy for people to donate to your event. We can also create a personalized source code and/or QR code for your event to track event donations and share reports with you. Please contact events@breastcancer.org for more information and to get started.
Can I use Breastcancer.org's name and logo on my event materials and social media posts?
You cannot use our name to imply that your event is sponsored or co-sponsored by Breastcancer.org or that we are involved as anything except the beneficiary. In your event materials, you should state your event is "benefiting Breastcancer.org." You must contact us (events@breastcancer.org) for approval to use our logo and to receive the official logo file. Can Breastcancer.org donate any swag or giveaways for my event?
Unfortunately, we are unable to donate swag or giveaways for events. However, you can create unique items on Bonfire as a fundraiser supporting Breastcancer.org.
Will someone from Breastcancer.org be present at my event?
Because of the large demand on staff time, we cannot guarantee someone will be available to attend and represent the organization. However, each event is considered on a case-by-case basis.
Are donations tax-deductible? Will people receive a tax receipt?
Breastcancer.org is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Individual donations made out to "Breastcancer.org" are tax-deductible under the law, in accordance with IRS standards. People who donate through a GoFundMe Pro or Meta (Facebook/Instagram) fundraising page will receive an automatic tax receipt. Checks made out to Breastcancer.org and mailed to us will receive tax receipts.
How should checks be made out?
Please make checks payable to "Breastcancer.org." Checks can be mailed to our office at 40 E Montgomery Ave, 4th Floor, Ardmore, PA 19003. If you would like a donation form, please contact events@breastcancer.org.
