Breastcancer.org
Annual Impact Report
June 2023 – May 2024
Breastcancer.org has been a lifeline for a global community of patients and caregivers for nearly 25 years, dedicated to saving lives and empowering people to navigate breast cancer with confidence. At the core of everything we do is our relentless pursuit of providing the very best resources and support for those who need them most. By harnessing the power of digital tools and forging strong partnerships, we’re making sure that life-changing information and compassionate support are more accessible than ever.
This year’s Annual Impact Report highlights some of our most transformative achievements. Thanks to the collaboration of patient advocates, corporate partners, and our generous donors, we’ve developed innovative resources that help people navigate their most critical decisions. In an increasingly digital world, we’ve pioneered ways to offer deeply human, personalized experiences through technology — delivering expert, compassionate guidance whenever and wherever needed.
As you explore the report, you’ll see how we’re elevating the voices of patients and advocacy groups on key issues, collaborating with medical education companies to bridge critical knowledge gaps between healthcare providers and patients, directly connecting patients with experts to get their pressing questions answered, and celebrating our incredible supporters who are galvanizing their communities into action.
Every day, people rely on us for trusted, expert information that helps them understand their diagnosis, explore treatment options, and join a caring community of others facing breast cancer. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has stood by us on this mission. Your support fuels our work and ensures we are the lifeline millions depend on during their most challenging times.

"I reached out to Breastcancer.org and learned about their virtual support group meetups. I finally felt that I found a group of people who understood what I was experiencing. Though my family was there for me, the meetups with others like me were invaluable."
Toni, diagnosed in 2021 at age 59
Each year, Breastcancer.org partners with researchers, providers, experts, and advocates to explore topics that address important concerns in patient education and care. This year, we launched a special investigation of the barriers that prevent people from getting the care and support they need after they finish their initial treatments for breast cancer and the steps people can take to find follow-up care that helps them heal and move forward.
We teamed up with Medscape to produce a powerful video series for healthcare professionals, designed to model culturally relevant conversations between doctors and patients. Featuring inspiring stories from the friends and community of Breastcancer.org, these videos were proudly showcased at the prestigious San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium in December 2023.
Collaborating with Clinical Care Options has enabled us to amplify Breastcancer.org's educational resources and patient perspectives, directly reaching their network of healthcare providers through impactful programs.

This year, our main focus was bringing experts together to explain and discuss timely topics important to our community. We held four free educational webinars to empower patients, caregivers, advocacy groups, and healthcare providers.
We leveraged Instagram Live to connect our followers with the experts they trust. From Dr. Kristin Rojas, MD, FACS, sharing insights on sexual health, to Dr. Sarosh Zafar discussing breast surgery options, and exclusive interviews with specialists at major breast cancer conferences, our dedicated audience gained valuable knowledge and the latest updates on important breast cancer treatment.
